Hello! I am Sheri. I was born in the U.S.A., specifically Minneapolis, Minnesota. It’s the Midwestern part of the states. Before I married my husband, Osachi Kaneda, I lived in Arizona. He, and one son, and I live in Fukuoka City. Another son lives in my hometown. I like Ohori Park because it reminds me of my hometown, the “Land of 10,000 lakes.” I have taught English for 23 years to all age groups. It is my hope that you will enjoy learning English for pleasure or your professional career.

うちの教室で英語を勉強する生徒さんのほとんどが「前よりも英語が好きになった」と言います。またうちで学び出してから「将来は英語を使って働きたい」と思うようになった生徒さんも少なくありません。「どうして？」と尋ねると、「英語が分かるようになって好きになったから」と答えます。英語が嫌いなお子さんのほとんどが思考停止を停止して行う膨大な量の暗記に苦痛を感じていると思います。しかし英語＝暗記ではありません。試験前に無理やり暗記をして楽しいと思える人はいません。無理やり暗記したことをいつまでも覚えていられる人もいません。仕組みが分かるからこそ、自分でも使えるようになるからこそ、楽しいし、忘れにくいのです。そしてもう少し勉強しようかな、もう少し単語も覚えようかなと思えるようになるのです。私たちは試験で点を取るために詰め込むだけの塾ではありません。英語の仕組みを理解し、それを日常会話でも、試験でも、しっかり使いこなせる力を身に付けさせること。それが私たちのモットーです。英語の重要性がますます叫ばれる中、私たちと一緒に将来に役立つ本当の力を身に付けませんか？
